Hats, hats and more hats. No really, I mean MORE hats. I think I’ve made myself at least 5 this year (so far). This was one of the first one I made to kick off the winter season!
This hat is called the Mountain Slouch by Kozy Komforts and I purchased it from Ravelry. Last year I bought a few faux fur pom poms but never put them to use. I also made a shrug last year that used about 8 skeins of Bernat Softee Chunky which I never wore. Not once. So instead of taking up space in my closet, I took it all apart and let it take up space balled up in my cupboard instead. 🙂
So, the yarn used for this was Bernat Softee Chunky in Black. The pattern is great, with a lot of pictures and helpful tips for parts that sound a little tricky when put into words. It’s a very easy pattern and the hat has a lot of stretch for many sizes of noggins.
I finished it off with one the custom tags I ordered from BrickBubble and the faux fur pom pom I mentioned. That’s it! Very quick and the chunky yarn makes this hat soo warm. Love it; so much so that I made another one.. click the picture below to see my “Date Night Hockey” themed Mountain Slouch hat.
