Ah, the poop emoji. I personally have never understood the attraction, but people love it! Especially the little ones, which is what inspired me to make this blanket.
This is a pixel afghan made up of 195 individual squares, then slip stitched along the back edges. This blanket is a hybrid pattern of this C2C poop emoji pattern and this Cupcake Pixel Blanket both by Sarah at RepeatCrafterMe.
I started this blanket as a little travelling project that I could take around with me, doing a few squares here and there. I recently went on a trip down south and thought it would be the perfect project to get done while I’m down there. So by the time I got home, I had all my little squares packed up in my suitcase ready to be blocked and put together!
Green – Red Heart Comfort in Melon Green
Brown – Red Heart Super Saver in Coffee
White – Loops & Threads Impeccable in White
Black – Loops & Threads Impeccable in Black
Dark Green (around border) – Bernat Super Value in Lush
I enjoy making projects that involve a lot of little things getting sewn together (see my Hexagon Blanket). But those ends! Word to the wise: weave as you go! This is preference of course, but I always regret it when I don’t do it. For the border, I just did a simple SC stitch around; 3 rows in Melon, 1 row in Lush and 1 row in Coffee. I think it really gave it a nice finish. 🙂
This pattern is very easy to follow and the little squares are so cute! You could do it with any graph picture you like. I used this website to make my graph, which I also used for my Sugar Skull Lapghan.
Check out that and other blankets I’ve made here. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
