Mini Cupcakes

Mmmm mmm… cupcakes!  Aren’t these little crochet cupcakes adorable?  Almost good enough to eat, but so cute that you couldn’t!

My son got a play kitchen for his birthday last year so I thought it would be nice for him to have some cupcakes to bake.  I remembered seeing a pattern on RepeatCrafterMe a few months prior so I went and dug it up.

The yarn I used for this project was:

Red Heart Super Saver in Rouge, Coffee, Gold, Spring Green and Pale Plum

Lion Brand’s Vanna’s Choice in Honey (for the vanilla bottom and the caramel topping)

Loops & Threads Impeccable in Aran, Lippy and Aqua

After making 2 vanilla cupcakes like in the pattern, we decided we need some chocolate ones too!

So I followed the same pattern but used different colors and excluded the cherry and sprinkles.  Instead I embroidered a yummy trail of caramel drizzle on top.

Trust me, if they were real they would be delicious!
