Eggnog Cowl

I’ve been wanting a mustard colored scarf or cowl for a while now.  Mainly for reasons like this…

When I saw this pattern on Little Monkey’s Crochet, I knew it would be perfect.  So I grabbed myself 2 skeins of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Mustard and got to work!

I love the texture created by the stitches in this cowl.  It’s perfect for solid colored yarn because it adds nice dimension.

Here is the completed project.

I love this cowl pattern.  It might be hard to notice but I messed up a little bit in the first round of SCs.. I forgot to turn after each completed row.  When I first realized I was kind of bummed out.  Now that I’ve worn it a few times, it’s taken a certain shape, being bigger on the bottom and tighter on the top.  Because of those SC looking different I can tell which end is top and which is the bottom.  Blessing in disguise!

Regardless, I love it..IMG_0284
