I love scarfs. Since beginning to crochet I’ve just wanted to make scarves and scarves and scarves. Also since learning to crochet I don’t think I’ve made a single thing for myself. I got this really nice multi-colored yarn for my birthday a few months ago and decided to put it to use in a scarf for myself. I love the way it turned out and the brown goes really nicely with one of my winter jackets.
The yarn is by Loops and Threads Charisma in the color Lakeside.
The pattern I based my scarf off of is called The Cozy Cowl and can be found here. This scarf took maybe an hour to make and I did just enough rows until my skein ran out. I wanted something I could wear with or without my coat on so it’s a little less bulky than the one in the pattern. I am going to make a full one using 1.5 skeins of the same yarn I used in the infinity scarf shown in my Infinity Scarf post. One thing I did at the end was add a row of SC stitches around the last row of DCs. I pulled them tight so that it would have the same widths at the top and the bottom.
Any ways, here is how the cowl turned out! I love how nice and warm it is. Perfect topper for almost any winter jacket. 🙂
