Crochet Reindeer Hats

Tis the season!  Considering it’s December I thought my first post being Christmas themed would be fitting.  I found an adorable Reindeer hat pattern on Repeat Crafter Me and had to make it.  I love making projects from this blog because it provides every size you need from newborn to adult and everything is very clear and perfect for beginners such as myself!

In the process of working on Rudolph for my son, I thought it would be nice to make a matching Clarice for his big sister too.  I used the same pattern just with a different body color and added a bow instead of antlers.

You can find the Rudolph tutorial here, and the eyes and antlers here, both from Repeat Crafter Me.

I mixed and matched a few tutorials for the bow and added some french knots for the polka dots.  Here is the one I started with: Craftiness is not Optional.  Instead of wrapping the yarn to make the center of the bow I double crocheted a chain and wrapped it around.

I had so much fun making these and the kids loved them!  Check out some other crochet hats here.
